Tubing on the Chattahoochee with Shoot the Hooch
Enjoy Chattahoochee tubing on our gentle flowing lazy river. Tubes can be rented, weather dependent, during peak season (June, July, August, September) until 3:00 p.m. Tubing during the off-season (March, April, May, October, November) may be offered, depending on weather and streamflow. Tubing in Atlanta is a fun way to enjoy a scenic float down the Chattahoochee River from Powers Island National Park Service Unit to Paces Mill National Park Service Unit. You must be at least 18 years old to rent. The National Park service will not allow anyone under the age of five on the river. Children under 18 must have written parental permission. Glass and styrofoam containers are prohibited on the river. No dogs are allowed on tubes. Everyone under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket at all times when on the river. All tube rentals include a life jacket. Everyone must have a life jacket and we provide the life jacket with the tube rental.
You park and we pick you up at Paces Mill National Park Service Unit (3444 Cobb pkwy SE Atlanta, Georgia) in our Shoot The Hooch shuttle bus. We then shuttle you up to Powers Ferry National Park Service Unit and we outfit you with your lifejackets and tubes. Estimated trip time is 2-3 hours depending on stream flow. ***Check the “Latest News” column on the front page for up-to-date hours which may change due to weather and stream flow***
